Mulagad

mulagad girlsMulagad or “Munting Alagad” means “young follower,” and is a thriving children’s Bible club reaching out to the urban poor kids of Welfareville. It was started in February of 2005 in two blocks of Welfareville by a small group of teens and twenties who are or have been part of the Bukang Liwayway scholarship program. Very quickly, the program expanded to four different areas, with more leaders beginning to commit hours to organizing, teaching and loving the children. Currently, there are approximately 200 children hearing Bible stories, memorizing verses, completing activity sheets and singing songs each week! Leaders have very wisely chosen to follow a chronological Bible teaching format, which matches the studies for the adults. It is part of our hopeful plans to reach whole families for Jesus!mulagad prayer

Praise God for the commitment and passion for service that the young leaders show in their weekly responsibilities. Praise Him for the hundreds of young lives challenged by His word and touched by the love of Jesus!
